New Delhi:Shaping India 2047” hosted a panel discussion on the Women’s Day, focusing on the ‘empowerment of women in India and their potential contributions to the country’s growth story‘.

The discussion highlighted the challenges faced by women, such as the glass ceiling and patriarchal attitudes, and emphasized the need for financial and digital inclusion policies to enhance their empowerment. The panel also stressed the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for women in education, workplace, and family settings, and the need for tailored, region-specific approaches to address unique challenges”.

Co-founder of ‘ShaingIndia2047 campaign’ Dr. Kumar Katyayani said that on the occasion of World Women’s Day today, Shaping India 2047 campaign organized an online conference on the topic ‘Women’s empowerment in India & their potential contributions to the country’s growth story’. Our Honorable guests were Dr. Ajanthaa Thiagarajan (Empowering lives through innovative healthcare. A medico-turned-development professional), Alivia Biswas (A seasoned development professional with global experience driving systemic change & social equality), Shilly Menon (Driving social impact through sustainable & people-centric initiatives) and Koushika Kumar (Passionate development professional driving sustainable livelihoods and social dignity). And, this online conference was moderated by Dheeraj Maurya and Avinash Anand. And about the today’s program that we found some actionable points from today event “they are there : 1. We need to implement existing women empowerment schemes and policies more effectively, focusing on addressing implementation gaps.

2. We need to develop tailored approaches for women empowerment based on specific regional and cultural contexts.

3. We need to explore ways to increase women’s participation in leadership positions and entrepreneurship.

4. We need to consider developing policies for financial and digital inclusion of women.

5. We need to address the issue of political underrepresentation of women… .

He said that while taking forward the campaign of Shaping India 2047, we are bringing forward all the communities of the country and their issues and by continuing discussions on them, we can find solutions to the obstacles in realising the dream of a developed India by the year 2047.
